Sacre Coeur
close window

The installation represents the expanded body of the heart, completed with ventricles and aorta. Within this huge heart a dance performance takes place. The dance leads us to the feeling of the physical heart and pays attention to the ambience in the heart installation at the very moment.
The choreography creates the opportunity to capture the moment through improvisation. The idea is to let the dance bring openness in an emotionally closed heart. The movements bring the heart to life. Emotions get loose through the dancing. From arrogant to respectful, from impatience to enthusiasm, from out of control to rhythmic.
This happens in the presence of the ever pulsing and loving original power of the heart.
The theme ‘closed-open’ has a personal character for the performers, but the audience will recognize it as and associate it with their own hearts too.
At the end of the performance the audience gets invited to enter their own hearts, through the aorta, and experience the ambience of the body physically.
